Introduction Post

Hello Everyone and welcome to The Blurple Texan.  This blog was set up for my Austin Community College U.S. Government class, where I will be displaying posts on my knowledge of and ability to think critically about national government.  I chose the name Blurple Texan because I believe that TEXAS, my home state, is turning more and more purple in it's political views.  I tend to lean to the left personally so when I mixed Blue and Purple, viola!, Blurple.  I believe that you will find that my views aren't hardline liberal, but that I tend to have a little conservative views on some issues.  I look forward to entertaining you with my viewpoints and hopefully we can debate and exchange comments in a respectful, educated, and civil manner.  I welcome you to comment and I will try and respond as soon as I can.  Thanks again for checking out my blog!
